Perch and Pattern
Perch and Pattern
This goblet features an amber encalmo band and two sculpted birds, each perched at different points on the vessel. The stem blends decorative architecture with natural motifs. Made entirely from borosilicate glass, the piece was constructed using flameworking techniques, with the birds and stem details shaped and assembled in the flame. The work draws on both historical glass traditions and contemporary sculptural approaches, using form and color to highlight the connection between structure and nature.
