Beautiful borosilicate (pyrex) glass cup. This cup is about 10” tall and features an encalmo band of amber over white, a color also known in the trade as “serendipity”. The stem is also made from this color, layering the germanium and silver based amber glass over white to create a beautiful amber-purple glass - Andrew’s favorite color. The top and foot are made from glass that has optical lines of varying thickness to create a clear pattern which breaks up the light and appear twisted. Black lip-wraps are applied to both the top and the foot. Finally, Andrew sculpted black curls around the stem to create a visual and tactile interest.
